Around March 2020, I went to Walmart and noticed something strange. The entire bike section was completely empty. There were no tubes, bike chains, or beginner bikes. Puzzled, I went to a few other stores and noticed the same trend. Everywhere I went, I noticed the same sign. Bike tune-ups had a 1-2 month wait. On top of that, the lucky people who were able to get their hands on a brand new bike couldn’t even ride them because the shops couldn’t set them up properly. After scavenging for parts to fix my bikes, I decided to write a post on NextDoor to see if anyone would be interested in a local bike tune-up. The response was overwhelming. That following weekend my garage was packed. I am returning for 2021. But I’m staying local so please only share this with the local community. Thanks! 🙂
